Thanks! I'm not planning a continuation at the moment, but Cid was really fun to write, so I may drag him out again for a future story. Hmmm...

This was fantastic! Cid's voice came through loud and clear, and I like the past you've given him. The same with Shera- I've always wanted to know more about her, and this certainly fits. Shera's father painfully reminds me of mine to a lesser degree- that certainly struck a chord. "Devising and revising their means of escape" is a beautiful way to sum up this story.

Adding to my artdump journal's memories, so I remember it. ^^

Thanks! And I'm equally pleased and disheartened to hear you found the father believable -- pleased because I worried that he was merely a bundle of monstrous tics, yet disheartened at the thought of his real-world analogue. (Ah, fathers.)
