I don't read a lot of het, but I'll rec one someday. Yeah...someday. And then, it will most likely be incest, so I don't know if you would like it.*

A wonderfully woven story of redemption (albeit a fairly twisted kind) and love lost to the wish and ambition of more power. Dark and I cried. It's that good.
Character study
Fledgling by Moonsheen - Stand up, Hinata.
I got goosebumps when I read this. You could hear that sentence ring in your mind like Hinata must have heard it; bordering disappointment, encouraging, demanding. It's really good. Read some of Moonsheen's other stories. You won't be disappointed.

Spiral Falling by Becca Amon - Finding companionship and maybe more from your most hated rival. Falling willingly with arms wide open.
An AU school fic. Good flow, hot limy scenes, and Becca-san gives nothing of the plot away. Frustrating sometimes but when you've stopped reading and cooled down after your 'MY GOD, WHEN IS BECCA GOING TO UPDATE!?!?' phase you end up being grateful. It's makes the anticipation sharper and the new chaps all the more sweeter.

Gold Tinted Spectacles by Beren - Harry is about to enter his seventh year; no more is he the angry boy who watched his world fall apart at the end of his fifth year. He is looking for something, and to his confusion it seems to have something to do with Draco Malfoy.
Circumstance (or should we say fate? Destiny?) draw the two together. Another soul mate story but it's very nicely written. Lots of sex but you don't get tired of it. I'd say they're pretty soulful scenes. I love Draco-Harry's friends interactions. They are nicely done and, in my own opinion, in-character.

Beautiful World by Cinnamon - Draco is afraid of living and Harry is afraid of dying, but sometimes the choice isn't offered. Draco's got to learn what it is to really live, while showing Harry how beautiful the world really is when you're not too scared to see it.
It was very sweet at the beginning -funny and puzzling- and at the end I was just speechless and crying (sobbing, more like). A wonderful story that makes you feel angry, sad, then hopeful, then resigned. An emotional roller coaster.

Spell Master by Babychan - The wizarding world is going to find out that Harry Potter is not the only one with awesome powers. Its a Pro-Slytherin and Pro-Draco fic.
What can I say about this story other than 'WOW'? It's so intricate and complex you'll be stuck in your seat reading and reading again. The H/D action (and I mean that in the mildest sense possible) is all over the place- you just have to stand back and really 'see'. Don't let any D/H scene pass you by without really analyzing it. You'll be sighing at the irony for days to come. And I really mean the reading-reading again comment. She takes forever to update but it's well worth the wait.

Intentions of Time by 0083 - winner of most touching and best tragedy in Hatsukoi 2002, and of best angst in Shiai 2002. Warnings:(AND BE SURE TO PAY HEED!!) serious, major, outrageous angst. death (though not technically deathfic), angst!
I read this after an argument with my son's father over the phone. I read it at 3 in the morning. I read it all alone in the apartment. I was bawling when I finished. Only three parts but they're packed with angst and tons of 'If I had's'. You really feel the turmoil of the whole story starting at the very beginning, it builds up and you can't help but release of the pent up anguish when you start understanding it.

The Chibi Problem by PlaidDragon - I have a problem. It's a chibi problem. It's similar to a rat problem or a mouse problem. I didn't know it at the time, but it all started the day I bought my darling little BabyDoll.
Very sweet and funny. While you're reading the adventures of this woman with her chibi's you can't help but wish you had a Chibi too. Ah! But you have to be responsible and caring! They're nothing like dogs, you know! They're more intelligent! A~~nd they live in Gundams! *winkwink*

Glory by Casey Valhalla - Think Star Wars (in fact there's several references in here to the Galactic Republic). Think Dungeons & Dragons (this is actually the universe my friends and I campaign through in our self-created RPG). Throw in a dash of Final Fantasy (knowing the difference between Red, Blue, Black and White magic will actually be quite helpful while reading this). And a sprinkle of Cowboy Bebop (mostly for the cool tunes, beat-up space cruisers and references to crime syndicates). Add Gundam Pilots and mix well.
Now, this story is an adventure. It's cool, and Heero and Duo's relationship is just there and begging to be let out and flown to all corners of the universe. And it wouldn't be the worse for wear, no, it would still be strong and not just because of their circumstances but because of their quiet (at the moment) devotion to each other. Even though the story doesn't focus much on their relationship it's still very good.

All of Windsor-sama's stories are great. I especially like the 'So Alive Arc', 'The House on Batavia St Arc', 'Goody Two Shoes', and 'Love At First Sight'. Don't get me wrong; I love all of them minus 2. I'm not going to tell you which two. Nyah. >^^<
