Good, no, GREAT NEWS!!!
I GOT THE PROMOTION!!!
So a week ago Wednesday I had an interview for Full Time at the Credit Union I work at for full time. I was really nervous about the interview and which went really well. I left feeling like there wasn't any reason that I could think of that they wouldn't give it to me. They also told me that I wouldn't find out any later than a month. seemed a bit far off to me.
So last Wednesday was nuts at work and my manager calls me into his office and I literally plop down in the chair at his desk (it was lunch time. I was ready to go.) He asks me how my day is going and I tell him it will be better after I eat, plus I think I've been fighting off something tooth and nail for about a week now. He asks me what he can do to make my day better. I say, buy me lunch. Steve tells me, I think I can do better than that. At that point he moves a money green folder in front of me and tells me to open it.
It was the papers for my full time position and he tells me I got it! Now this is awesome. Not only am I guaranteed to work 40, no less no more than 40 hours a week, I get really good benefits, healthcare, PTO, and the like. The beauty part of it is, because I've worked for the company for over a year already, my benefits are Fully vested. I GET THEM ALL IMMEDIATELY.
Bottom Line: Life is good. I worked hard and I got what I deserved. Wow, who knew that it actually does work that way sometimes!
