Let's talk about sets, baby!
Let's talk about U and V
Let's talk about all the intersections
That may be
Let's talk about sets
Let's talk about sets
- Unknown person on IRC #math

If I were to ever mathify a song, that would be the first! :D Set theory in my mind has now taken a back seat to category theory as a basis for studying modern math, and some think it has the structure to replace set theory altogether. Category theory carries with it a bit too much baggage to really be used as an introduction to mathematics, though. Set theory and its dual, logic, is still where the layman would start learning proper math. However, I think many academics would not be surprised to see a curriculum developed from category theory with sets introduced as just a necessary part of the theory.

Let's talk about sets for now to the people at home or in the crowd
It keeps coming up anyhow
Don't decoy, avoid, or make void the topic
Cuz that ain't gonna stop it
Now we talk about sets in the codomains and functor ranges
Many will know any object goes
Let's tell it how it is, and how it could be
How it was, and of course, how it should be
Those who think it's dirty have a choice
Throw out the Russell, Whitehead, and Tychonoff
Will that stop us, Pep? I doubt it
All right then, come on, Spin

o_O

Train of Thought:
"Yay! New sex is coming over! Better clean the apartment! Garbage needs to go out! Oh shit a veteran."

The people seemed so close
Playing expressionless games
The people seemed
So close
So many
different names... - Charlotte Sometimes (live) - show - The Cure

Charlotte Sometimes is a great, if somewhat depressing, children's novel. Check it out.
