The Drama going on everywhere...especially at sj_everyday
Wow. I'm even more convinced these plagiarism claims are CRAP.
So, I'm sitting here in class, really bored. So, I decided to mess around with this, what's going on.spiletta42 has been accused of plagiarism, so I decided see if I could figure anything out for myself. I'd been reading spiletta's fic since before I joined lj.
(Edit: The page with the story in question on stop_plagiarism has award badges from 2004!!! I'm more and more convinced that this is a witch hunt.)
1) I found this story byspiletta42 on a third-party fic site (NOT spiletta42's website)

This was posted to the website on November 4th, 2008. It has the first line, last line, and a few random phrases I checked EXACTLY the same.
2) Another story pointed out to me by rhyana
spiletta42's "Badfic!Pete and the Temple of Doom" found here: http://www.spiletta.com/petetemple.html (copyrighted Jan 2007 on the bottom of the webpage)
Which she used the first line for a meme on August 25th, 2008: http://spiletta42.livejournal.com/221740.html

Posted on November 1st, 2008. Once again, I did a random content analysis, and found that spiletta's story is actually longer.
I too think spiletta42 has been plagiarized, and I think furqueen96 just deleted my comments on this post in stop_plagiarism . Should I send a private message to the mod in charge of this case?
In conclusion, I am firmly in spiletta's column. These accusations are false, and it's a damn shame. I feel like putting all of this in a message to furqueen96 but am not sure if I'm brave enough to deal with it....(Maybe if I get some nudging from my friends....)
