It's poetry in motion

Been doing poetry for Literature Lab's poetry unit, so yay poetry.  Two had prompts, one didn't.

This first one was written (sort of) based off of the painting "The Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali, though I sort of went off on my own tanget.

Mr. Wednesday

When we’re together, I am alone
I don’t want to pretend anymore
But my imagination is what makes you stay
So I must keep the illusion

In my world, all time is dead
Our clocks melt and numbers blend together
Bugs feast on things we think we don’t want
And I pray to my paper moon

Your London bridge is falling down
My unfair lady
Since there’s nothing left to burn
I’ll set myself on fire

I dance with you, a bullet ballet
There’s no rain here, so there’s no rainbows
Just remember that you’re my gunpowder valentine
And I chose to sink over flow

But sometimes there are cracks in my illusion
Tearful colors start bleeding in
This strange paradise is soon just a liar home
For broken people and blown-up children

Now the real world has seeped through
No longer can I play my silly games
I turn to you, see your face
And realize that I’m just a daydream believer

This second poem was written for the prompt of our favorite song. At the moment I have been listening to "Love Love Nightmare" by Hatsune Miku like burning since I'm planning on making an AMV with it that's Mukuro-centric. Anyway, so that's where this came from.

Love Love Nightmare

My eyes always see two things
I have chronic vertigo
I'm always playing a paradox game
Inside of my closed room

Tender poison runs in my blood
Illusions drown my eyes
They can hurt me, they can heal me
Just like domestic vermillion

I'm never sad, I just dance
Around in my merry-merry finale
Nothing's ever stopping me
I believe that if I cry, I'll melt

Sometimes it gets lonely
In my endscape, my endworld
So I sit next to an imitation flower
And pretend that there's people I know

These nightmares are my only foes
But God said to love my enemies
I slowly kiss my misery
And set the world on fire

The last one was not given a prompt, so my mind kind of took it to the first place is could: ShamalxGokudera lololol. The characters in the poem don't directly reflect them, but it's enough for people to notice. /cool story bro/

Because We Can

There are things that people think are right
And there are things considered wrong
But goodbye is never enough
And I want the connection back

Women are the only things you like
Along with money and beer
Since I am none of the things you desire
You move on and leave only jealousy

You were the first and will be the last
You taught me of love at age four
We were separated, but not by force
Every dream lasts a long time

I want to outright tell you the truth
Clear up all misconceptions
But I am too afraid of trying
And even more ashamed of crying

I see your lips meet with hers
And I drown her out with my tears
Why can’t you see that I’m just like her?
The only difference is that she has you

They call it creepy, they call it weird
Fourteen and forty should be illegal, they say
I want to create a paradigm shift
And show them that they’re all wrong

Don’t worry about me, everything will be fine
I’ll show you and you will show me
Open your eyes, see that I’m an adult
And we can go man against man
