{OOC, Memory 2} Silly Old Bear Boss, or Why Pandas Are Failures Even As Robots

"Hey!" Locket yelped, a hand clutching her head. Who threw that snowball? Chuckling, she looked around for a friendly face, an invitation to a snowball fight... and found naught but the quiet tree branches around her. Hmmm. As she looked back to continue on her way home and took a step, her foot inadvertently kicked something sparkly into the next small snowdrift. Curious, and slightly suspicious, Locket went for it, digging the object out of the powder.

She knew what the object was the moment she saw it, and her hand shot out and closed around it. Instantly, her sight went blank, the taste of that hot bowl of potato soup she had for dinner fading to nothingness.

The verdant green and silver filled her vision just then, cold steel meeting thick vegetation in a bizarre world where biology and technology clashed and quickly became one. Thick vines grew and held tightly to many metallic outcroppings and buildings as she saw herself effortlessly scaling walls and trekking ever further through her own eyes.

Traveling with her was that black-armored robot again, a look of mirth on his face as he brandished twin energy pistols and fired at robotic foes hidden in the green. He appeared to look back to her and constantly beckon her to follow, yet when she found herself moving ahead without him, she slowed. Soon, she found herself smiling giddily herself. Bells jingled in her head, and the longer she watched, the more she knew... this was a friend of hers.

She was reminded of that little dog that lived with her for a short while.

Their travels reached their end when they encountered a very large robotic panda, lips moving slowly... she wondered what he said, but the brown-haired robot next to her didn't appear pleased. He soon drew his weapons, and she drew hers.

The panda's strategy was strange, summoning mechanical bamboo to erupt from the earth to trap them, and then charge through his work, causing it to come crashing down around him, hopefully trampling his victims in the process. It was a large bear... she found herself analyzing it quickly, pinpointing its capabilities: Charging attacks, the bamboo... and missiles.

Soon enough, massive green missiles fired from the panda's hands, rattling the trees and earth with each detonation. Everything was a blur, everything shook... but then some very large smoking holes formed in the panda's body. Leaping out of the way, she narrowly dodged the defeated panda's mass falling atop her, smoke and flames engulfing the bear as it struggled... and soon stopped moving. The black-armored robot - armed with two smoking guns - turned to her, nodded, and disappeared into a ray of light. Her eyesight went dark once more.

Locket shook her head and took in her surroundings, familiar, snowy, and cold. As she looked back at the spent crystal, small green text flitted across her vision...

Program 'Youdantotsu' is Active.

Then, she looked down at herself... at a cheery yellow raincoat, bright green rain boots with kiddy-looking faces on them, and holding an umbrella in both hands. Dangling from the umbrella were plastic rain drops and lightning bolts.

...But she was still curious!

"Youdantotsu?" She asked herself quietly, and closed the umbrella. She gave the item a strong forward thrust. Immediately, her makeshift weapon ignited with a luminescent energy that crackled and burned, leaving a trail of light in the follow-through. Her quick mock attack to the air before her fizzled out, but left her hand decidedly tingly...

She'd put it to good use in her training. First, she had to wait out this silly outfit.

[ooc: Sight/Taste senses. Locket's dressed like this for a while.]
