Personality:
The best way to describe Miyuki in a nutshell is by using this phrase; a refined lady who is moe. Because that is what she is. She's a very proper, mature young woman with a very strong sense of class and manners. So much so that she doesn't flaunt it in the slightest. Oh no, she is sweeter than candy and very modest in her upbringing (she's from a wealthy family). She generally uses a lot of refinement in her speech and always show the highest amount of respect she can to her peers. It appears to be possible that she can't even really be angry, at least to the point where it's plainly visible. The only time when she changes this is when she plays video games, then she gets serious and hardcore (not EPICALLY hardcore, but rather dedicated and absorbed).
It's clear as day that Miyuki is remarkably intelligent. She earns top grades and had even signed up for pre-med after she graduated high school (though in Route canon, she arrived here instead, derp). Other people had been known to go to her for answers whether it be for homework or random stuff for the heck of it. And she's always willing to share her knowledge. She has a fascination for learning and always strives to learn new things, no matter what the subject really. You'd find her often reading, too. Girl loves to read.
Now there's the "moe" attribute. One look at her would suggest that. Sweet, beautiful (with large breasts), adorable in demeanor, and clumsy airheadedness. Miyuki strongly shows these attributes. Miyuki is the clumsiest of the clumsies and just tops it off with being such an airhead. So much so that not only does she trip, but also gets into numerous other mishaps. She spaces so often and can become very forgetful. Like she could forget she was right in the middle of doing something (like forgetting about a drink being heated up for a long period of time, which has happened). She gets teased often for her moe self, mainly by Konata.
Then there's when her fears come up. She's always embarrassed with such things but she is very afraid of dentists. Very. Afraid. What's worse is that she has kind of bad teeth, and had to make numerous visits. She's also afraid of contacts, or anything getting near her eyes. She can't even open her eyes underwater.
If you knew her mother, you could plainly see just how alike they are. But her mother is actually far worse in the ditz department than Miyuki is.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Miyuki's main strength is that she is very intelligent. Incredibly. To the point where she had been given the nickname "Miwiki" (by both fans of the show and by Konata in the OVA). Since she enjoys learning, she is always uncovering new facts and maybe trivia of various degrees. She likes to challenge her mind with puzzles as well.
- She has very good people skills. Caring, polite, well mannered, and an overall classy lady.
- Fairly athletic. Fairly to the point where she is in basically good shape. But no where near as athletic as, say, Konata.
- Moe, good body, takes good care of it (or tries, oh her poor teeth)...though this can also be a weakness as well...
Weakness:
- Painfully an airhead many times, always. She spaces out like crap and gets herself in numerous accidents because of this. She can be forgetful at times because of this as well as can bonk into things...among the works with this difficulty.
- Also painfully clumsy. Very, very clumsy.
- HORRIBLY AFRAID OF DENTISTS. She even tried so much as to escape one time...man.
- Her vision sucks. Bad.
- ALSO AFRAID OF CONTACTS. Or anything going near her eyes.
- Her moe attributes make her a victim of sexual jokes/harassment very easily.
- Though she can make simple meals, she's below average in cooking.
Pokémon Information
Affiliation: For the most part, Miyuki would be playing mainly a breeder/researcher as she will try to study as much as she can about the world and Pokemon around her. She'll battle on occasion in defense and gain a team; but she will mainly try to be of help in terms of support.
Starter: Chansey, she will nickname her "Aya". (The first name of her Japanese seiyu.)

First Person Sample:
[A video clicked on and you'd see a pink haired girl smiling brightly at a pink thing. That thing being a Chansey. Chansey is seen for a brief amount of time and has a number of provisions on hand and is shoving them into bags.]
...Ah yes, I suppose that's enough, Aya. I'm quite sure we're all ready to go.
["Chanseeeeeeeeey!!!" It was then Miyuki turned to the video cam on her gear. He adjusts her glasses and looks at her audience with a very sincere lady-like expression on her face that seemed a little shocked at first. She seemed to have forgotten this was on apparently.]
Oh! Hello there.
My name is Miyuki Takara.
...I was just about to leave on my own Pokemon journey. I have arrived a little while ago but took a fair amount of time getting supplies together.
[She bows a little bit.]
I plan to study as much as I can during my time in this area that's still so new to me.
I must say though, I find such things so exciting~. I plan on learning as much as I can on this journey. Aside from the Pokedex given to me I'm afraid I've gotten careless and decided to take a large amount of books with me.
[Aya then is seen again. "Chansey~! Chanseeey!" Miyuki giggles.]
Aya is already being such a big help. I had learned that Chansey are supposedly very kind-hearted and charitable Pokemon. She's been such a darling since we've been able to meet.
Third Person Sample:
As Miyuki walked inside the department store in Goldenrod City, she was immediately taken a back with the large selection of Pokemon goods. Aya followed behind her, seeming to be in a very chipper mood. The first thing that got the two’s attention was the receptionist at the front desk who was answering numerous calls. This must be the customer service desk, Miyuki thought. She walked toward to the woman on the desk, who was waiting to be able to answer whatever question or concern Miyuki had as she was done being on the telephone. She started off the conversation with, “Welcome to the Goldenrod City Department Store, the largest store in Johto. How may we help you today?”
Miyuki politely spoke. “Do you happen to have a pamphlet for the store? I think I may need one to find my way around. I’m specifically looking for Proteins and Calciums this visit but I might have to buy something else if it’s something I think I’ll need.” The lady smiled and turned to pick up a packet from a large stack and showed it to Miyuki. She then said, “I think this is what you need, ma’am,” as she handed it to her. Miyuki kindly accepted it. “Yes, thank you.” With business done, the receptionist found it necessary to say, “Thank you for shopping with us, I hope you find everything to your liking.” To that, Miyuki smiled, “I’m quite certain I will.”
Aya noted the elevator and directed Miyuki to it by pointing at it and adding a “Chan…seeey.” Miyuki nodded and followed that with a, “Good idea, and it will give me the opportunity to read this to see where to go.” The two entered the elevator and Miyuki took a look at the pamphlet. “Let’s see…oh here, the medicines are on the fourth floor.” She tapped the button to go to their destination but they immediately stopped on the floor right above. A sudden flow of shoppers entered. “Oh,” Miyuki noted, “We might be here a while…” She then opened the pamphlet to read as she waited.
After a slew of shoppers entering and leaving as the elevator moved up the floors, they reached their destination of the fourth floor. Aya spoke up to alert her trainer, “Seeeey.” But no answer, Miyuki was absorbed in her reading. Oh. A few more shoppers entered and clicked to move back to the ground floor. By the time Miyuki was snapped awake by Aya, it was too late. Shucks and drat. “Oh! Oh no, I missed it…” Well, there was always next time. Aya sighed as she took the liberty to hit the fourth floor again after the customers left for the ground floor. “Aw, thank you,” Miyuki said with a sheepish smile. Then the two were on their way again. Unfortunately, the same formula repeated; the exact same situation with the exact same results, such a sad and pathetic turn of events. “Ohhh…oh not again…” Miyuki sighed with Aya. “Maybe, we ought to take the stairs…” And well, then they did.
