Muse Name: Kim Kibum (Key) Muse Band/Solo: SHINee Journal: bumki Aim: keyshining Age: 18 Sexuality(optional): Homosexual Status: Single Specialty(s): Singing, dancing, rapping, English, MCing Year: 1st Job Occupation: Works part time at Starbucks Background: Technically, one could say Kibum's journey to stardom began at an age much younger than his teenaged ones. There had been an event being held by his elementary school in Daegu, South Korea. A sort of exchange program where students who already excelled in English would get to visit America, live with a family and learn the language hands on. Little eight year old Kim Kibum was the easy choice. At a young age, his English skills far surpassed those of his peers so the boy was the first put on the list for that trip to California.
He spent two years overseas with his host family. In those two years he grew from a whiny child to a slightly whiny, demanding, and headstrong pre-teen. The American values that he'd seen every day of his time there were permanently ingrained in his being. Something that Kibum's parents discovered when he returned to South Korea with dyed blonde hair, a new nickname, loud clothing (and an even louder way of speaking), and a dream. What Kibum's parents soon learned was that every American youth dreamed of the spotlight in some way or another - and now apparently a certified American youth, Kibum held the same desires. His friends back in the States introduced him to joys of singing and dancing of all types. Those two things became a sort of obsession with Kibum whom never even so much as glanced at an idol group on TV back at home. Now he was aiming to be one of those people.
So when Kibum returned to South Korea, the dye in his hair slowly fading, he made the decision to be an idol. At this time, Kibum was only ten years old yet he'd already set his sights on his own future. For the next eight years, Kibum took voice classes, dancing lessons, public speaking seminars - anything that could possibly prepare him for his impending super stardom. Even though there plenty of entertainment companies willing to give out these lessons Key wanted to show up at the company prepared and ready for debut. He wanted to blow the president away with his already developed talents. To say the least, Yongtae's president found Key to be intriguing when he showed up for an audition at the age of eighteen. Thoroughly practiced, ready and aching to debut, Kibum has finally entered into his first entertainment company in order to be shot into the realm of the stars - or so he hopes. Personality: Kim Kibum was always known to have a strong personality. Whether it had to do with the boy's undying determination or his never ending snappiness, Kibum has been nowhere near timid in his entire lifetime. His blunt personality helps a lot with his dream. An idol is supposed to be someone who can easily relate to someone, right? Kibum has no problems making friends or drawing them into his life with just a charming smile. But along with his friendly side comes a snarky half. Most people would actually call it rude, but Key just prefers to refer to himself as being honest since rude sounds so negative. Even to his friends Kibum holds no qualms about speaking his mind. Your feelings getting hurt can sometimes be an after thought to him - which is probably something Kibum should work on now that he'll be interacting with more and more people.
