Muses Gone Wild? Another Muse Community?? Really??
Yeah, I know what you're thinking and this is another muse writing community. However even though we are inspired by all the ones you've come to know and love :: Fandom Muses, Theatrical Muse, Eclectic Muses, (really the list goes on...):: we come offering a few different outlooks on the actual community process. Now rather than sit here and explain it all in one breath? I've got it broken down here, so check it out.
THE LIMITS
Before I start getting into just how the community works there are a few limitations we have set up so that this community is open and inviting but still not insane... we like Going Wild not Insanity. Less straight jackets this way.
[+] You are allowed to apply for as many muses as you wish. However you are limited to six canon muses a month, and three canon muses per fandom. Because there is not a rigorous application you cannot sit down and list off all the muses you want to play. The point of this community is to open it up for more people, not let you have everything under the sun. However this is also subject to a case by case basis. I understand how it is to come up with an idea and be at that pick and choose moment.
[+] Original Characters are completely welcome within our community. We encourage you to make characters to interact within the fandoms and existing characters. However if you are tying your original character closely to one that is canon; ie: direct relation, ex-significant other, backstory, please contact the current canon muse that you are trying to connect to. Don't make Thumper from Bambi have a long lost twin sister named Jumper and expect the Thumper to recognize you. Original Characters that are tied to canon will be pending until the canon member has been notified of your intentions. The same limitations are the same for Original Characters as for Canon. No limit to total number, but only three per fandom and six per month.
[+] Active Status means that you are currently up to date with your muse. Before you are allowed to apply for any additional muses you must prove that all your muses completed the challenge the previous month.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Like all the other muse communities before us, we have requirements that must be met in order to be keep your status as an active member of Muses Gone Wild. However because we are a muse community made with the RPer in mind and made by RPers we have a variety of ways that you can maintain your active status easily.
[+] Our community is run monthly, which means each month starts with a post of topics and prompts. There will be six listed and they are meant to inspire you to either write from the perspective of your character, or participate in a roleplay based scene with a fellow member of Muses Gone Wild. However at all times all of our topics are available for you to utilize regardless of the month they were originally intended for.
[+] This community does not have a specific requirement as to where your topic must be posted. Since we allow RP based posts to count toward activity you could in essence create a side community for the purpose of playing out your monthly topics. Even if you are following a certain arc for your character within Muses Gone Wild and you see a topic that fits perfectly into a game you already have with a member of MGW you may use the topic in your game and it will count toward your activity. Because we are RPers here we understand the urge to get instant interaction based on something that a topic or prompt inspires. We even consider a SixWord/TenWord Story grounds enough for a topic reply, because those generate a lot of interaction, and really that's what makes writing our muses fun!
Any community that would like to be affiliated as an 'official' spotlight of Muses Gone Wild can leave a comment here.
[+] Because topics and roleplay will be happening in a variety of places we are not going to be asking you to post up your topics into a community. Each month simply return to the current months topic post and leave us a comment with a location to your post, even if you are using an older prompt topic still comment to the current month. The comment will need a bit of information depending on what you did for your activity, but all that information will be included with the topic post each month.
THE BUSINESS
[+] Applications are handled quite easily in screened comment here A P P L Y - H E R E.
[+] Topics will be posted once a month, and will consist of a variety of six different types of topics. They will range from single words, to song stanzas and bizarre random situations.
[+] Communities and other places. There will be an out of character community that will be open for notifications from other members, or places for questions. All Official Community Business will always be posted within this community, and will be easily accessible by tags or memories. Any fandom that creates a side community for the purpose of RP can be affiliated easily, and there will also be an in character community that is meant for "in-Character" interaction of the random sort. Announcements from one character to another, introductions if you so choose to do so, and other items will all go within that community.
