my abhorrence for cutesy spellings, ALL CAPS unicase, and other nonsense has been well-established. it's kind of the itch that you can't scratch of my online existence -- not something that keeps me up nights, but irritating in a small way. rather than bitch about it, i should be part of the solution

I try to italicize and quotation-mark titles in accordance with the Chicago Manual of Style as much as possible.

And every now and then I will SHOUT rather than emphasize, mainly because I'm, uh...lazy.

there are a few people on my friends list that i know irl who are a little new to the whole internet/livejournal thing. i love them, and i don't want to go deaf when i read their posts.
