Cosfest 2012 owari~~~~ (Part 2)
Awesome Final Fantasy Type-0 cosplay that had the entire 14 members! Turned out that my friends knew some of the people who were involved, and we got to talk to the girl who was the "leader" of the whole group who arranged the whole thing (she was part of the "founding" group and took over when the original leader left the group) - it was a real labour of love because she personally recruited about 7-8 of the people herself and had to keep trying to fill in spaces when people left the team, and the whole group actually met up for about 5 dinners before the actual debut and set up a whatsapp group to discuss the costume-making. They even made sure to buy the same type of cloth and some of the same armour so that they would look uniform, and it really paid off because they looked excellent and totally like a real class! Sadly I didn't manage to get many good shots of them (you can see someone drinking out a McDonald's drink on the right! LOL!), but I'm sure there are tonnes floating out there because the were really too awesome for people to resist sharing photos of. :)
Brilliant idea! This must have been incredibly painful... though my friend's boyfriend's theory was that the cosplayer had a cushion on his head to soften the impact. LOL! (I doubt it though). It was quite funny because I actually saw the cosplayer's jaw literally drop off at one point, haha! It was quite odd though because there was a Luffy asking for donations with the gold hat you see in the pic - there was some money in it so I wasn't sure if they were being serious or just joking around!
Clive strikes again! I don't know him personally but my friends do and every year he does an awesome Gundam cosplay. According to a recent newspaper article covering the event, it took him three years to craft this particular Gundam Unicorn! It must be incredibly hot in the costume though... my friend was theorising that maybe he built fans in his costume to keep cool. XD
This dude was completely awesome! I have no idea what character he's cosplaying as (something from Dynasty Warriors maybe) but he completely looks the part! And he was also really smart to purposely pick that spot to pose at which has that shrub that looks like it came out of a Chinese garden. XD He looks somewhat familiar though... I wonder if he's the guy who cosplayed as (a similarly awesome) Wolverine at a previous Cosfest?
Final Fantasy XIII-2 group! Serah's weapon was really one of the highlights of the event - it's not very obvious from my picture but it was extremely well made. She was probably one of the most popular characters who was constantly being photographed at the event. :p (And if I'm not wrong, I think the Lightning wasn't actually originally part of the group, but got invited by the rest to join in for the picture.)
My friend is a HopuRai fan so she asked both of them to pose together. XD

Me wearing Albedo's collar. My friend's boyfriend suggested that Albedo add a leash to the collar but alas we didn't have one. XD
Pizza Hut girl, McDonald's girl and KFC girl! Such a creative idea! And so cute! My favourite was KFC girl!
Lovely Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere. (Never played the game but I always thought the outfit was gorgeous!)
Spiderman! I thought his outfit was fantastic, but on hindsight, I wonder if it was actually bought and not handmade because it was just too good. LOL. He has the pose down pat though!
Posting this here because I know there are some Inazuma Eleven fans in my LJ list/Tlist... The cosplayers are my friends' friends and the person on the right is a rabid fan of Endou who was the leader of the wonderful Inazuma Eleven cosplay performance in last year's Cosfest. (See video here.) She looks like she's grabbing the other cosplayer's butt here. XD
Another one for the Inazuma Eleven fans. :p Sadly the pics are quite crappily taken as my camera wasn't configured properly to take dark shots. :(

After Cosfest was over, my friends were joking that I should also try cosplaying Junior's Episode 2 and 3 outfits just so that I can cover all bases because I love him so much. :p I never really considered doing his other outfits since his Episode 1 outfit is my absolute favourite (I hate the colours of his Episode 2 outfit and while I like the Episode 3 one well enough, the lack of a trenchcoat is a major downer for me [I love trenchcoats!], and I find the colours abit dull), but now their suggestion is starting to sound appealing to me, haha! Though if I ever get the chance, I would like to be able to cosplay as Episode 3 MOMO as well because I think that outfit of hers is absolutely adorable~~~~
My friends and I are also definitely going to do a separate photoshoot so that we can get as much mileage out of the costumes as possible - and also because my friend and I want to take some BL-ppoi pictures. LOL! (I just hope I can manage to take them properly with my prudishness...) I have a feeling her boyfriend is going to get coerced into taking BL-ish pics with us too despite all his vehement protests. XD
If I have time, I'll also post an entry next time talking abit about my costume making process because I feel like I learnt alot from making my costume! Sadly I didn't really take many WIP pics since I was too busy concentrating on rushing to finish the costume in time, so I just hope the entry doesn't turn out too boring with all the babbling and hardly any pics, haha. (But I suppose most of my entries are like that!)
EDIT (10 July 2012): Removed my friend's and her boyfriend's photos because she said she feels too embarrassed to have them posted up in public. LOL.
