053: Uh, this has a long explanation. In that illustration, there is a magnolia tree. But that's not all. I have a certain trauma regarding magnolias in XXXHOLiC illustrations, mainly because Clow Reed's illustrations in CCS art are filled with magnolias. While this may have an aesthetic explanation from CLAMP ("I just felt like using magnolias; sakuras are so 20th century!"), I still see it as a conspiracy on hidden symbolism. Yes, I'm nuts. Why?
054: Small text says "of darkness." Queen of darkness. Several puns to insert here, including a shipping one (as in, Clow's powers come from the darkness and all.)
