Character's Name: Taniyama Mai
Character's Canon Origin/Series: Ghost Hunt
Character's School Year/Teaching Position: 5th year, Gryffindor if you please!

Character's Background (AU!Canon; HP): Mai is a muggle born witch, having lost her parents at a young age. She now stays with relatives and up until her 11th year attended public school in Tokyo, Japan. Mai is a friendly, outgoing girl that never looks at the bad side of things, always having a bright outlook. Even though she lost her parents, she marches on with the same enthusiasm that she shows for everything else. And though she's a caring girl, she does have a temper and often speaks her mind if something is bothering and when she can tries to do what's right even if it might get her into trouble. Her relatives, when learning of her acceptance into Hogwarts weren't sure what to think but knew Mai march forward, do her best and give it her all.

Sample Interaction Post in First Person: Oh no no no! I can't find my Charms homework!

Arg! If someone took it I will have their head!

Oh! There it is! Whew, for a moment I thought I would have to do it all over again! What a pain! Now I wonder where NaruNaru went .. I hope he doesn't get locked out of the Common room again, the poor thing.

Well .. I have to get to class! He better not make me worry!

Sample Interaction Post in Third Person: Mai had looked everywhere! Under the beds, in the baths, behind the chair in the corner of the Common room, but she still couldn't find that darn cat! "NaruNaru!" She called out, hands cupped around her mouth to lengthen the call of his name, hoping her little feline familiar would hear her. "Ohhh that cat! I hope he gets back in okay." Mai pouted before sighing and heading up to the girls dorm to get her books for the day, giving one last glance around the Commons on her way down just in case. Shaking her head, she headed out into the hallway, black robes swishing behind her as she hurriedly made her way to the stairs and towards her first morning class.
