Kaoru 4 - Video

[the video feed opens with a groan, and rather disorienting glimpse of Kaoru's room as he rubs his eyes with the hand holding the communicator. Realising he just did that, he offers a sheepish sort of smile when he turns the communicator back around]

Whoops.

So... I feel like I've been out of it for kind of a while. Did I miss something? Was it fun?

[Well this is slightly counterproductive to sneaking out. He flips on the video feed and gives Kaoru a teasing grin.] Oh, you missed tons of stuff! It was super fun, you should've been there! [Of course he missed it too, but DETAILS!] I'm going shopping, do you need anything?

[sneaking? Why sneaking, Hikaru?!] [ponders the question for a few seconds] Mmm... bring food! And you can catch me up!

[Why? So Kaoru stays in bed and doesn't notice his absence, obviously. Though that plan is clearly out the window.] Hmmm~ There was a huge party. With balloons, and video games. And a chocolate statue. [At least, that's what he was dreaming about last night.]

[Hikaru comes back several minutes later with some bread-rolls. He sits at the edge of the bed, and offers the one that isn't already impatiently half-eaten.] The stores suck, everything's commoner-grade and dull, I don't think they even sell games. It's also really cold outside. But I got these. [Which is to say, he didn't look very hard for anything, but he got what Kaoru asked for.]

[[Psh, I planned it out ages ago. Her name will be Larentia and she will herd sheep for me, and whenever I cosplay characters who own dogs, she will cosplay with me. |D *is such an otaku aaaah*]]

[He falls over theatrically and curls up next to Kaoru, still munching on his roll.] Course I'm freezing, I've got summer clothes on. Please tell me there's a coat for me somewhere that I just missed.

[[Psh, who am I kidding, I'll suck at sheepherding. XD I am the failure of all farmgirls.]]

[patting his hair gently and snagging a roll with his other hand. He missed this] Well, there are clothes in the stores. Not the best in the world, but I've been able to make them work so far. You can use mine until you can find something.

Screw that, I'm not leaving here until it's warm again. [He smiles lightly as he examines Kaoru's arm, poking it occasionally to watch for reactions.] It's still healing, right? Does this hurt?

Yes it is. So don't- [hisses in pain, drawing away] -don't touch it.

It's going to take a while before I can move it like normal again. I thought it was starting to get better, but now it's... it's really stiff. And it hurts more to move.
