“What is this?” Dinah took the envelope from Barbara’s lap without waiting for an invitation.
“That’s for you.”
Dinah bit her lower lip; Babs’ voice was calm, but her eyes were smiling. She opened the envelope and jumped when she saw what was inside. “Are you kidding me? You booked me a room at the Royal Spa?”
“A suite actually,” Barbara corrected her. “We are leaving in half an hour, so you need to pack fast.”
Dinah made a move to leave, but stopped. “Are you sure, Babs? Things are pretty tough right now.”
“And things will still be tough when we come back. You need this, Dinah. I need this.”
Dinah kissed her softly on the lips.
