- Is lj acting weird again? I have some icons to upload, but no luck so far. Frank is eating the wires. Hungry Frank.
- Going to watch "Mama" later. I liked the short film (creepy as hell) and I tend to love everything Del Toro with no reason. Even if the movie sucks I have three words: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
- Regina, what are you doing? (
spoilers )
And, okay, we know that Regina did awful things, but she always had a reason. I guess we have to wait and see.
In the promo she says to Henry that "They made me the Evil Queen." but nothing else. And I hate the little shit more than you know, but he's just a kid! He really needs to start to learn his mother, but Regina doesn't let him and she needs to open up to him.
This year alone, Regina killed her fiance, her mother, saved Snow and Emma, lost her son and Henry doesn't know half of that.
Of course she's protecting them. No parent wants to tell to his child that s/he was abused or that she was forced to marry someone s/he didn't love (and what happened at the wedding night) but she should at least try to say something to him.
All Henry sees is a 2D comic villain and a badly writren one. We know that that's not the case with Regina, but from Henry's POV she's exactly that.
His book doesn't say how many people died for Snow to take her Castle/Kingdom back and since they were the guards of the Evil Queen, I guess no one cares.
I could rant for hours, but point is, Henry needs to know about his mother and his book is not the best place to look for informations.
Emma, with her childhood, is another character that Regina could open up, but will not because of Snow. Emma right now is in her Charming state of mind to notice how broken Regina really is.
But mostly I want Henry to start taking notice of his mother because before I was a Swen fan, I was a Regina/Henry fan and I need to see their relationship taking a step forward.
Because Henry is the one that brings the best of Regina out, not Emma. Granded she didn't have the chance. And that's what makes her different than Rumple. She's willing to do everything for her son while he couldn't.
And I, probably, think it too much, but I'm sure that Rumple hates her a little more after the well. Because she did what her son asked her to do while he let his son down.
Gold pretty much never gets held accountable for the shit he does or has done, especially now that he's "family."
It's all in the past now that he has a girlfriend and a son and a grandson.
Water under the bridge.
Things would be so much different for Regina if she had a love interest as well.

The Cora thing frustrates me to no end. Because Henry only knows what Emma told him about the situation, that Snow was "partially responsible" for her death. Okay, so in his mind, if Snow is only partially responsible, then the rest of that "responsibility" (ie. intent to kill, in his mind) is laid down at Regina's feet. I wish 2x17 would have dealt more with the ramification of his worldview on the good guys being shaken up and how, no, the world is not black and white, Snow and Charming and Emma and Regina are not black and white. I wish Regina had explained to him that her rage and hurt in that episode was because Snow tricked her into killing her own mother.

Sad, but true.

The extented sneak peak shows how desperate Regina is. If Henry could only just see that...
