- You know when you are excited about something and then you realize it wasn't worth your time and effort? One word: Drakensang. I don't play online games, but last night I decided to give it a shot. Why the hell not, right? Most of my friends are doing it.
So I found Drakensang which was exactly what I wanted to play at the time and it was free. All you had to do to join was to pick a name, your race and if you wanted to play a female or a male character. It took max four minutes to do so. And then I clicked play...and then I closed the window. I couldn't see nothing, but pixels. Since my computer is old I thought to try with my laptop. Same thing. I don't know if it was a server thing or my computer/laptop, but that was my first and last attempt playing online.
I'll just stick with rping with my muses.
- After the Drakensang fiasco I put to watch The Mists of Avalon. I love the book, but damn, the movie is three hours long. and I prefer the book
- I'm reading the 'Tarot Cafe' again. The art is beautiful and few of stories are heartbreaking. I admit I read the books again 'cause of an rp I'm doing, but if you're searching for a good supernatural thriller (and don't mind the art) I reccomend it.
- I've started reading 'Blood Trinity' by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love, and I'm not impressed. The first chapter was confusing as hell (I kept wondering if I was reading the second book of the series instead of the first) and every line or so was about how special the protagonist is.
Okay, we get it. She's special. No need to write it all the time. I rather find out for myself than read it in every bloody line. I'm at page 42 and I'm already sick and tired of her and that's never a good thing.
List of books I'm reading/going to read.
Geist, A book of the Order by Philippa Balantine.
Spectyr, A book of the Order by Philippa Balantine.
Murder of Angels by Caitlin R. Kiernan.
Silk by Caitlin R. Kiernan.
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
Blood Rights by Kristen Painter.
Thief with No Shadow by Emily Gee.
Pale Demon by Kim Harrison.
Blood Trinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love.
I'm enjoying the 'A Book of the Order' series because of Deacon Sorcha Faris. She's not your typical heroine simple because she's in her middle-late 30's, her partner is young enough to be her son and, unlike most female characters nowdays, she has no problem to let someone else help her.
I love a lone wolf as much as the next guy, but wolves hunt in packs and sometimes all you need is love is to know that someone will be there for you no matter what.
