30 Superman-Batman icons (mostly Damian Wayne)
You know, I was so excited about Bruce Wayne The Road Home - Commissioner Gordon that I forgot about Damian teaming up with Supergirl. I remember very few things about The Road Home, almost nothing of Batman Beyond (we finally see Commissioner Barbara Gordon-huh, I do remember something after all), but I remember everything from Superman-Batman.
It’s a Halloween issue so the mood is light. Damian is not kicking ass as usual instead he’s acting like a detective. About time if you ask me. The boy is saying left and right that he’s the son of Batman and in this issue we finally see that yes, he is the son of Batman.
If I could pick only one issue to buy this week…I would have a very hard time. The Road Home - Commissioner Gordon is a very touching story. Not touching per se, but how many times you see Bruce admitting that he has feelings? Not really admitting those feelings since it’s from the pages of the White Casebook which I believe it will have the same fate as Barbara’s letter to her father in NML... Funny how I remember a detail from a book I’ve read once 6 months ago, but I can’t remember the email of my best friend.
So, if I had to choose between Superman-Batman and Batman & Robin, I would choose the first one. Both are Damian’s stories, but the one is fun and light and will left you with a smile and the second is written by Morrison.
