Spoilers for Birds of Prey #4

“Skipper is still sleeping?” Zinda asked when Dinah came back from the bedroom.

After the events with the White Canary and Savant and all the mess with Penguin, Zinda had decided that the Birds were in desperate need for some time off.

Which was kinda funny since this was their first time together after months. You couldn’t tell it if you looked at them. Dinah had take most of the beating, but Zinda had almost die from bleeding. If Dove hadn’t taken the Penguin down when she did…

“Still kicking herself for Savant?” Helena asked although she knew the answer.

They all took things personal, but Oracle was taking things way too personal. Of course it wasn’t the first time someone had tried to kill himself in front of the redhead. Savant not only tried to kill himself, but he also made Oracle look like a fool and Helena could only guess how much that hurt her boss.

“No, and yes.”

“You’re spending way too many hours with her,” Helena said with a smile and was glad to see Dinah’s lips turn into a smile.

“I’m this close to make her wear fishnets,” Dinah replied and Helena laughed.

“I wouldn’t hold your breath if I was you,” Barbara said from the door.

Because the free space inside the cabin was limited, Barbara decided to move around using crutches. Dinah knew how much Babs hated the damn things, but deep inside she was happy to see Babs standing up, no pun intended. Barbara was a tall woman, almost as tall as Helena and Dinah liked taller guys…or in Babs case, women.

“You’re not wearing makeup,” Dinah stated the obvious.

“I am aware of this, yes,” Barbara said in full Oracle mood.

Dinah didn’t seem to hear her. “I like your freckles.”

“You’re not supposed to like freckles,” was Barbara’s answer.

“But I do.”

Helena rolled her eyes. “Get a room.”

The moment she said it, it was the moment she regret it. Barbara looked at her and with a mischievous smile she said, “We already have one.”

Ah, thank you! I love to write offscreen fics :)

They make it sooooooo easy for me. They just have to...see what they have in front of their eyes.
