It's been a while
12000 / 10000 words. 120% done!
All I need to do now is edit a couple of things and my story is ready *big smile* All thanks to two ladies, my beta: ladyithildiel and my editor (in need): alexiel_neesan. Thank you ladies, I would be lost without you.
Now I can focus to my BoP!Jay series and my Basketball Diaries Series (I just love the Babs-Wendy dynamic) and maybe I'll start writing the novel length fic I have in mind for over two years. I'm a lazy ass so I'll better write one fic at the time.
May is a very good month for me. Iron Man 2 is out and although I'm not a huge Tony Stark fan (I've only read Demon in a Bottle and his new series Invincible Iron Man) I'm a big Robert Downey Jr fangirl so yay! And he's awesome in the role so bonus! I swear that man was born to play Tony.
BoP! The girls are back in town! I can't even begin to describe how happy that makes me. Babs and Dinah have a lot to talk about. It was nice to see that Hel and Babs kept in touch. Speaking of Helena, where’s Misfit? I’m not crazy about her character, but where is she? She’s not with Babs and last time we saw her she was with Helena, but where is she now?
I hope she doesn’t have Cass’s fate; one panel in a comic somewhere then gone forever.
Only ten more days and we are going to find out (BoP#1, 5/12). Hmm. Batgirl and BoP go out the same day. I wonder if Gail will follow the Calculator arc from Batgirl. I think she said that one of the Birds will be accused of murder and we don’t see Babs on the cover of BoP #2 so I’m wondering if Calculator’s plan to kill Oracle will go south.
If DC wants to have Wendy as the new Calculator then I can see that happening. Most thing that DC is preparing Wendy to be the new Oracle, but I don’t think that DC is ready to let Babs get out of the chair. Considering that she (Babs) was to be the new Batgirl but changed their minds (Simon was to write the new Batgirl but left when she heard the news) the only way for Wendy to be the new Oracle is if DC kills the current one.
I don’t think we can have BoP without Babs. She’s the glue that keeps the girls together. We had BoP without Zinda and Helena and we had them without Dinah (not as good though), but without Babs? I don’t know.
