Strange. (go to bed)
For whatever reason I came across some things that reminded me of the interesting period of my life that was the winter after I graduated.
My heart was torn out by a girl I had fallen head over heels for.
I had some musical equipment stolen out of my car.
The band I was in took a shit and died.
I was halfway through my first year of college, wasn't quite really good friends with anyone from school and everybody from high school was gone or leaving.
I was drinking by that point and still felt really weird about it after being totally straightedge throughout high school, and conflicted and guilty because a lot of my friends were strongly against the idea of drinking.
It's strange to look back on it because at the time it felt like my world was crashing down around me, but really a lot of amazing things happened that I didn't even appreciate.
Two years ago...
