i[ve tried for too long, already, to show ya'll a picture of the cute house i'm staying in-- i don't understand portuguese enough to understand how to do that on this computer, BUT! HEY! write me please, i am going to be here for a month &i just hadn't planned on anything &my walls are barren, begging for poloroids &love letters &i miss you &i'll write you back seriously, even before yr letter gets here, give me an address! starting monday i am writing a letter a day &doing an hour of academic work a day, starting today i am drinking a minimum of 2 liters of water a day! today i went to a vegetarian buffet &to the MALL &to the grocery store, where i bought things like $1.50 gorgonzola &some really delicious cookies (i'll send you those, too). i was supposed to go to a night club but the owner of the house i am living in/the creator of children brazil/the director (molly!)'s dad fell off of his scooter basically in the exact way i fell off that scooter in key west, only he shattered his hip in 4 places &isn't going to be able to walk for 3 months, so karin &i ate ravioli &cookies instead. UM, &tomorrow, decadence continues (until monday, when work!&lice! BEGIN) with karin &i going to the market &eating crepes &drinking warm wine (a winter specialty!), then going on a boat tour of the city. um, did i tell you to write me? well write me. &send me a picture of us where we look in love, please.
