Thou Shall Not Covet Thy Girlfriend's Video Games....
I promise to write a real journal entry about my life coming up but I just right now wanna write about something that's bothering me as of late.
I'm trying to figure out how to handle this in the most adult way possible, while the matter at hand is so stupid it's childish...
And the matter has to deal with my girlfriend of all people who I love and adore except for certain whinny selfish tendencies.
Anyways...
My mom got me a PSP for my birthday (which for those not in the know is a portable version of Sony's Playstation) and my girlfriend found an awesome deal on Dissadia: Final Fantasy and got that for me.
So I ran off and got myself a few other games including Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy II, and then I downloaded the orgional FFVII. Needless to say I've been quite happy.
Except for one thing.
My girlfriend won't stop asking me to borrow the PSP so she can play Dissadia. I said I'd be more than happy to lend it to her when I was Finished with my games. I got the thing at the beginning of the month and I'm not even close to finishing story mode of Dissadia.
Every time she sees me she asks for it. Or she just sits there doing nothing and I ask her if she wants to play anything on the TV and she just kinda sighs and says "I really don't feel like playing TV games" which to me is another way of saying "I really just want to play Dissadia." She's even tried to bribe me into trading the PSP for her NDS and her copy of FFV.
I've given in a few times when I've been busy with school and knew I wouldn't be able to use the system, but now that I'm out of school I just wanna blow off some steam right?
And she won't friggin' stop!
I'm afraid to say anything to her for fear of upsetting her, but this is really bugging me to the point where I can't even enjoy playing.
Also this is not the first time she's done this to me. She's always asking to borrow the copy of FFIX that she got me for Christmas as well as the copy of FFX-2 I have sitting around waiting until I finish FFX. All of these are games I'm currently playing and don't know when I'd get back from her because she likes to power level and takes forever to finish games.
I'm at my wits end...
I want this selfish whining to stop! I almost feel as if she gets me these games as presents as an excuse to get them for herself.
Or am I the one who's being selfish?
