Hiya everyone.... sorry for the long time no hear....
Anyways.... last weekend was ConnectiCon which is like the biggest event of the Summer for me....
We cosplayed from Kingdom Hearts II the entire weekend.
Kitsu was Sora (the spiky haired brunette), I was Riku (the white haired one) and my sister was Kairi (The red-haired girl in the pink dress). That's Organization XIII on the bottom (the bad guys in the black cloaks)
Friday we got to the convention center in Hartford in record time, nabbed a great parking spot and only stood in the registration line for about a half hour. We met lots of people, got some great stuff in the dealers room (I finaly got the Axel figure I've been eyeing) and then because there were no good events that night we went home early.

And then I dropped our camera. Ooooopppppssssss....
Saturday we had a massive KH photo shoot on the front stairs of the convention center.
This shows both sides, the Heros (Sora, Riku, Kairi) and the Organization. I got cut off but Kitsu is shown on the far right.
The good guys! I finaly got into the photo lol.
Sunday my sister didn't come with us. Kitsu and I found out that we got into the main event of the day- the Cosplay Chess. What we didn't know is that they turned what was suposed to be a live action Chess game with the cosplayers as pieces into a one on one Cosplay deathmatch with the cosplayers fighting eachother, the winners being chosen by the screams of the audience. It was stupid but we still had fun.
Kitsu was the main player seeing as she was the main character. I was a summons.

that's the first video with us in it (we're also the first contestants). We got to eliminate Hitsuguya Toshiro from Bleach with the help of an awesome Ichimaru Gin cosplayer.

You have to watch a little into the video to see us again. Unfortunetly our rabid fangirls couldn't save us and we ended up getting eliminated by Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII, which was odd cause in KH (which is a mashup of Final Fantasy and Disney) Yuffie is one of Sora's allies. I injured my foot running on to stage which is why I'm limping a bit. In the end we tried to reinact the end of KHII in a scene where after the final battle Riku colapses after expending all his energy and Sora hoists him up by his belt and drags him to safety. Well ours was an interesting attempt. I fell onto my back which made it hard for Kitsu to pull me up by my belt but it ended up working....
Anyways aside from having a massive amount of fun at the con, I've been pretty busy with work this summer hence the lack of updates. well I was busy with work until I got fired two weeks ago for absenteeism issues. Some of it was legitimate cause I was quite sick this winter and acued alot of absences, but they also got me for an eronious no-call-no-show (on a day in which I had permission to take off from the manager himself!) and a day where they said I left early in which I didn't. but ah well... I guess I'm on to better things.
In the beginning of the summer the ceiling in my apartment's bathroom collapsed due to water damage from the apartment above. They remodled the above apartment and decided to let me have first dibs on it so last month was spent running around like a chicken with no head packing and moving stuff upstairs and then unpacking.
The new place has freshly painted walls and new tile in the kitchen and bathroom plus a new stove. The best thing though is because it's on the top floor and most of the apartments around it are vacant right now, it so quiet! the only bad thing is no that the weather has decided that it's finaly summer its so friggin' hot now and I have no working air conditioner.
Other than that things have been pretty good in Aimie-land....
