Happy Birthday to me!
Hiya!
I'm still recovering from just about the weirdest weekend I've had in a long time.
It started on Friday when while driving to work my car stated making noises that sounded like I was on a Star Trek-esque spaceship. Then it started swerving so I pulled over and instantly knew from the burning tire smell that I had a flat. You see last Sunday in my zeal to rush to the park for cosplay photos while the sunset was just right I had a narrow brush with a pole resulting in a few dents and a long scratch on the passenger side.... I must have hit the wheel in the process....So I ended up two hours late to work. After that I ended up driving to my parents house and got two tires replaced and got to see my sister's school play which was rather nice.
Saturday I drove back with Kitsu and she came to work with me. Afterwards we went out for pizza and she gave me my birthday present early. That happened to be the KHI Riku PlayArts figure that I've been eyeing since I found out they were re releasing the KHI figures. I'm still slightly ticked that there is no KHII PlayArts figure since I like Riku's outfit in KHII better (not to mention the long hair! oh, and the pretty keyblade...) but ahhhh well. Now I just have to get the Axel figure at ConnectiCon this summer to get my collection where I want it.
here's what my Riku looks like in case you want to know. He's rather awesome because with the PlayArts figures you can pose them however you'd like and change the weapons around. I already have two other figures of Master Form Sora and Roxas.
Yesterday was my birthday and it started off with me getting sick all over myself while driving to work. Luckily Kitsu was in the car and she was able to drive me home despite not having a license. I'm not sure exactly why this happened but I think it has something to do with not taking my medication with food. So medication + orange juice - food = not a good idea.
So I ended up spending my birthday a lump on my chair watching Kitsu play Final Fantasy X and munching on Chinese take-out and cookies.
Well I got to go get ready for class this morning but before I do:

The results of Kitsu's and my photoshoot last weekend at East Rock Park in New Haven which include the first photos of her in her work-in-progress Sora cosplay. She's still missing her wig and gloves. The pants need to be re-worked as well.

EDIT: Kitsu woke up grumpy this morning and said she was so because I woke her up at 11 at night accusing her of stealing my water magic.... except that it took me like 6 tries to say it. Something tells me that I was actually trying to get her to get me a bottle of water, because I'm lazy like that and very mean at night. She then went on to say that after I mumbled incoherently I said that I was going back to sleep cause I had a half hour more before I needed to wake up..... mind you wake up time for me is 6:30.
Last summer I started hitting her repeatedly while looking for the controller for the PlayStation because I was apparently fighting Heatless in my sleep.... and then there was the incedint in which I unfolded all my roomamte's clothes looking for the tags to scan them through the register at work....in my sleep.
I thought I was a sound sleeper.....
