I love that my state airs re-runs of my sister performing with her Acapella Group (Upscale) and show choir (Jazzapella-they went to Disneyland!) Nothing is better than hearing an acapella version of Living on a Prayer! No one is even trying to imitate wailing guitars, and the girl with the solo part is KICKING ASS!
The downside is that, during the show choir performance, there is one guy who I used to hang out with who stick his frickin head out and bugs his eyes every time he sings. It is so damn annoying!
Its okay now though, 'cause my sis is peforming her solo for "Go Your Own Way" and it is hella stella indeed!
In other news, I finally set up a paypal account so that I can get all the books I want that I can't apparently get in CT without offering up my firtborn or sacrificing a goat. The first thing I'm gonna do (I promised my frind Troy I would do this) is buy
Sabre's Call, a novel my friend has been working on for about 4 years, since he was in 8th grade. It follows a young couple and their family as they encounter Sabre, a Satan-Cat, throughout three generations. you can read the reviews at his link for more info!
[EDIT] My sister walked in as I was watching her SHow Choir, and she stood there for a minute saying "Oh, I messed up there." or, "Man, I hate that move!" What set me off laughing was when the group split into two halves, and proceeded to walk in between rows to combine, and she yelled "OH GOD THEY'RE GONNA WALK INTO EACH OTHER-Oh wait, its people-walking-through-people, what an illusion!" And calmly walked away.
Then we all had a good laugh, at her expense, at the people swaying and moving their heads to the rythm, or what we call "Ballad Head". LOVE IT.
