So study abroad is like a dream of mine, right? Right. Part of the reason why I really wanted to go to a UC school was because they have this amazing study abroad program. And during my A block, when I really don't have that much to do, I was looking at all the different places that you could study abroad.
My plan to was to start with English speaking countries and work my way up to non-English. So to begin I have to choose between Ireland, Scotland and New Zealand. I don't really want to study in England. (...Now that I think about it I could go to Australia or South Africa, too. But I don't really want to go there either.) And it's not as simple as just choosing a country because there are different programs and universities that you can attend inside that.
But this morning I think I made some excellent progress. The University of Edinburgh in Scotland looks really appealing. Check out the
website for more info. I really like it. Check out the "
explore" section for a good idea about the city. It's a really good university and the city is exactly what I'm looking for, too. Very historic with lots of culture and old buildings, but also very modern with great shopping and night life.
I'm leaning towards Italy as my foreign language country of choice. Their programs are a little complicated, though. The University of Bologna looks promising. It's the oldest university in Europe and the city looks beautiful. I love old Italian architecture.
Nothing's final, though. I'm just enjoying having my whole life ahead of me at the moment.
