Weekend
This last weekend was actually kind of busy for me. Early saturday morning I picked up garbage with a club of mine. Then afterwords my family and I went to the Getty Museum.
But when I was picking up garbage I had a little accident. As I was running across the street my phone flew out of my pocket and onto the street. I completely didn't notice, but luckily one of my friends did. I didn't notice until later that it was broken. Conveniently, that same day my mom decided that we needed to update our phones because hers was getting buggy.
Talk about good timing. The best part is, I get to pick out a new phone for up to $100 for free. This will be fun.
The Getty museum was fun. It was really art oriented, though. I didn't know that. I'm much more into regular history than art history. But the painting exhibits were my favorite. Although, I wasn't really into the analysis of brush strokes going on. I just liked to appreciate it in a aesthetic and historical context.
The most history oriented exhibit they had was one concerning icons in Sinai. But, unfortunately, I dislike religious history more than art history.
The most amusing thing about that entire day was me taking pictures of random people for my photo class.
