quite the good week...
so i'm in KC right now. i'm havin a blast. last saturday was kinda ok. besides being stuck in the minneapolis airport for 4 hrs. i got to hang out with shane and got to see The Get Up Kids final show. the opening band Veda was awesome. i mean they are already in my top ten. sooo good. the next band Lucero sucked pretty bad. then The Get Up Kids played and everyone went nuts. it was hard to imagine they wouldn't be playing anymore shows after this one. it was a pretty emotional night. when they played "campfire kansas" i about cried. they played all the songs i wanted them to play except "sympathy" and "valentine". they played "close to home" which really caught me by surprise. they ended up getting three encores! noone wanted to leave. the last song they played was "ten minutes". a very fitting last song in my opinion. so it was a very cool show.
me and nicole have been hanging out this week alot. we went to the zoo, to bd's (my favorite restaurant), shopping, and we went to the fireworks show here in lee's summit on the 4th of july. she's been working during the day so i have to find things to do to keep myself busy while she's at work. i saw batman begins yesterday. pretty good movie. i'm debating between bewitched and fantastic four today. ahh i'll decide later.
we leave for colorado tomorrow. i'm really excited. i've always wanted to go there. it should be a great experience.
