My aunt is coming back to life!
YAY! So i just found out the best news ever, seriously i am so happy that i cried! My aunt has made it 14 days sober. (the total physical withdrawal is over within 21 days) and she is making a point to tell everyone that she is recovering and never going back. For so long it was just a big secret, but evidently my aunt and the rest of our family are procliaming loudly and proudly that YES, my aunt was a drug addict for 20 years, but now she is going to sober up and turn her life around.
and i know that addicts say that stuff all the time, but this is the thing. My aunt has never ONCE said that she was going to quit, or that she wanted to. she would say that she is a horrible person and mother, but she never talked about stopping. i'm SO ecstatic. she was my favorite aunt and then she got so hooked that she couldn't even have a conversation with anyone. She told my dad that she went to visit paw paw's grave and that she just laid in the grass next to him and talked to him for an hour and that she had never felt so good in the last 20 years. i amm so excited i just want to cry!
i just wanted to get that out.
oh, and Hol, i like the rainbow brite costume. I'm gonna be a "sexy" Raggedy Anne! it's too cute. YOu better post pictures!
