A distraction from work and reality would be very fitting today. Too much death, too many killings.

Not really, but I'm alive so I must have something going for me. Maybe I need the distraction as much as you do.

Actually, I was going to say... You know you asked me if I'd like to help, and I said I'd be no good? Well I thought about that, and I was wondering if you need anyone to -- I don't know, file things for you. Write up reports, or whatever.

They always tell you that ninety percent of policing is paperwork.

It certainly does require much notation, but I could always use help with that.

It'd probably be on a part time basis, I still need to find gainful employment while I'm here, and it's on the proviso that you don't show me too many goo-filled boxes. But sure, I'd like to feel like I'm actually doing something here, rather than sitting on my ass and being upset by it all.

I'm easy. Back home I like to call myself a writer, but I shouldn't think there's much call for that here. I'd heard there was a newspaper, though.
