oaksong   mentioned a fantastic new word in his journal today:  petrichor.  I immediately followed the link he provided and snapped up its defination.

See, people never believe me when I tell them I have a truly messy desk. They always think I'm exaggerating.

Yeah, in a way I suppose it's productive. Counting dinner, I think there's around eight different simultaneous projects going on here at once: dinner, drawing, construction, network maintenance, data backup, photography, writing, and hardware testing. I'm just a little scattered.

Truth be told, it's worse than it appears, since the kittens are moved into their cage behind me to the right, and there's around seven computers in the room in various stages of repair or rebuild behind me to my left.

Yes, post-its are my friend. Some of the time. I'm just running out of places to put them. Most of them pertain to creative writing, but some refer to html code reminders, passwords, book titles, phone numbers, to-find lists, shopping lists, and general information seeking advice. Oh, and lets' not forget computer game insights and linux information. :)

Mainly, it's the problem of being far too curious, and having a near-photographic memory some days but not others. The "giz" (my Palm Tungsten) takes up some of the slack, but not nearly enough, and the batteries run out too fast for me to really abuse the thing with details and to-do lists.

So what do you use instead of post-its?
