Revised Mission 101 List

Aug 12, 2006 02:42

Hi all,

There used to be a different introduction in this space but:

[EDIT]
After serious consideration, I am choosing to revise my mission101 list. I realized that too many of my goals were dependant on the cooperation of other people. Leaving it unchanged was an invitation to frustration and resentment as well as an opportunity to avoid personal accountability.

As long as I was making changes, I took the opportunity to recategorize things too. The section devisions in the old list didn't resonate with me. I'm the first to say that it's important to determine one's biggest, most over-arching principles (as soon as possible but adapting as needed) and then making daily decisions from within the framework of those principles. The section headings below better reflect the kind of life that I want to continue building. (I don't do physical things for the sake of getting exercise; I walk, do yoga and eat great food for the pleasure I derive from such activities.)

As most of the items on this list remain at least similar to those on the original list, I have not changed my start/finish dates.
