SKY AND VIRGIN SUCK

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WATCH LOST NOW? HOW CAN I GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE IF I CAN'T SEE IT?!

I have known for years that NTL, or "VirginMedia" as they are now, suck. And yet I am forced to stick with them because we cannot receive anything other than Cable in this area.

Sky One has gone. Virgin, presumably in a bid to illicit some sympathy, have put up a snark little scroller that says "No Sky One? Blame Sky, they've taken their bat and ball home." It actually says that. Instead of working on keeping their customers happy and providing the service that we pay for, they're showing childish messages with just go to show how immature this whole argument has got.

I actually want to cry! I'm so frustrated. This isn't about TV, which as I said two days ago, I don't even watch that often. It's about the fact that, as a consumer, I do not have the option of changing my TV provider. These two companies have had their petty little row over ITV, and now they've put their own interests above those of their customers. I'm stuck with Virgin, there's nothing I can do.

It does not help that Virgin have said, and I quote from their website:

Worried about losing Lost?

We're planning to add all 3 series of Lost to our revolutionary on demand service. Series 1 and 2 will be available soon and series 3 is coming your way later this year. What's more, since they're all available on demand, they'll be ready for you to watch anytime you like. Watch one, watch them all, back to back - without the ads.

I don't want Lost in 6 months time. I don't want Lost when you've sorted out your petty little battle about whether cable or sky is better. I want Lost this Sunday, at 10pm, on Sky One, as promised. And btw, "revolutionary on demand" service? Sky did it first, and they did it better. I'm still going to have to pay extra to see a show that I could have seen for an extra 3p a day.

lost, tv
