Kitchen island project part 2

3’ wide x 7’ long x 42” high with an 8” “riser”
I added 3 outlets, 1 that is GFCI and the other two are regular outlets but with built in usb charging ports
It has 2 led light strips that are WiFi controlled
On the floor level under the bookshelf is a built in sweep-o-vac vacuum that you just sweep the stuff into
All of the cabinets have slide out shelves
The countertop is made from 2” thick oak from a local sawmill. It’s made up of 4 2”x10”x8’ boards planed, glued, sanded and sealed with 8 coats of clear polyurethane. Interesting thing is that the two middle boards were facing each other in the same tree, so the grains mirror each other.
The top weighs about 250 pounds
Next kitchen project will be base cabinets. Probably be starting those around mid January
