POSTING GUIDELINES

Jan 04, 2020 20:46

Here at europa_rising we have a few posting regulations. Don't worry, they're easy!

Everything posted to europa_rising must be in third-person, prose-style, and must include the appropriate header located at the bottom of this page. Make sure to tag your entry with the location and the characters involved, so we can keep things straight. Also, ALWAYS date your posts. Timeflow is unregulated in europa_rising; in order to keep things organized we need some sort of indication of when things happen. If you're not sure when something happens, look at the headers of other posts to get an idea of the "current" date.

In most cases, the standard posting format is to reply to the original post, not to other comments. This is to prevent thread stacking, as nesting makes the whole thing more difficult to read. The exception to this is if, in a particularly large thread, some of the characters isolate themselves from the rest of the cast. In this scenario, nesting threads serves to distinguish between multiple groups of people in the same location.

In network_rising, posts are to be made in first person, forum-style. There is no template for making network posts, although we would appreciae it if it were tagged with the name of the character who made the post. It's not necessary to tag the entry with the names of characters who commented to the post, just the original poster.
