Dabbers do the trick

In the Tim Holtz class, we learned a masking technique.  I have been seeing all these projects at the stores so I decided I would make a purse I had sitting for years in my craft room. The idea in the class is to use the three dabber colors, earth, bright and light.  So you paint the dark, then cover with mix of other two and a mask.  In the photo, I have switched to the opposite idea per Dan suggestion.  (Which was tougher)

Ok, this is side one, done the way Tim described it.  There you see the dabbers and the Heidi Swap Mask.

Now on to side two, with light side first.

Off comes the mask, it pulled a little bit of paint off the light as you have to let it dry!  Sadly I messed it up as I tried to clean it and I had to toss it.  It is the second Heidi mask I have killed.

It looked so nice but I knew it needed soemthing more...so I tried Paisley.

Took it to show Dan and got a big "NO"  He suggested something pink which is so not him, he hates pink.

So I got out the bling and the posies and wah-la!

I have never done the ribbon like this before even though I see it done like crazy.

I also used some border on the side and a few more posie stickers

And there it is, ready to use in Edmonton for the Sloan show with my pink shirt, black skort and pink converse!
