Went to Carlton Crematorium to see Nan off. Didn't realize there was a Christian Chapel inside it, always thought it was a secular building. The Reverend Stephen Scholes lead the service. I thought he may be on a strange sort of bet with someone since he managed to include Big Macs in his speech: "When Eleanor was young, a Big Mac was a large overcoat." I found it slightly jarring. My step-father's eulogy, on the other hand, was excellent.
The next day we went to see
The Kitchen at the Cinema (it was a live performance that was then played on the big screen, more or less live). It was certainly a spectacle but B and I both didn't really connect with it. When the interval came up, B and I agreed that we didn't really see the point and weren't really terribly interested in seeing how it ends, so we just left.
