Slept pretty good today. Neighbor Acame over around 3 and woke me up, bringing Reggie back along with Sassy. They’re going to a Christmas Madrigal in Colorado Springs and won’t be home until after 10. I’ll throw Sass back on their side when I go to work. In the meantime, I’ve got Jo locked in the bedroom. Will do some sit/lay practice after my shower.
Don’t know if it got above freezing today. I stayed in bed all day and slept pretty well. Nice to be back in my own bed.
Got a Christmas card from Cousin D along with a packet of photos and a nice long letter. Also got a photo from W of him, and two kids. No mention of the third. Nice note, too. I’m determined to get my Christmas letter done tonight…will stop at Office Max after Curves tomorrow and pick up some festive paper and envelopes.
Work was fairly quiet last night, although we did seem to get a lot of crazies. Time of year, I guess. Heard a co-worker saying something about “put down the sword. Where is the sword now?” It’ll only get worse until after New Year’s.
Got my shift vote that I wanted…staying the same…2100 - 0700 with Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday off.
Guess I have a new supervisor, too. Got a cryptic e-mail from this person saying something about a meet & greet Monday morning, but she started it, dear Mo. I replied I was Ma not Mo and forwarded the e-mail to Mo. Then I read an e-mail from her to me and several others introducing herself as our new supervisor.
Got to start reading e-mail in the right order. Way to make a good first impression…although I’m still not sure if the meet and greet is for me or Mo. Especially since it’s scheduled for after my shift.
Also got my 3 weeks of vacation scheduled. I should get a fourth, also, since I’ll have 10 years in March. Going to try and get a week in January or February to work on the house.
Next they’ll be scheduling our furlough days. I hate losing the money, but I’m happy for the extra days off. Think we’re finally getting our raises (first time in years!), so that’ll help compensate.
Need to go shower & dress, work with the dogs a little and try to cross some of the stuff off my to do’s.
A goal for 2010…write every day!
