having a migraine beyond belief
and being out of your migraine meds
and being told by your pharmacist (who was told by your health care plan)
that you are not able to refill your prescription for 3 days because your are not allowed more than 9 pills in 23 days.
I guess I'm only allowed to have debilitating migraines a certain number of times a month. Keep in mind, these are NON-narcotic pills. They don't make me woozy, or happy or anything. They just make me functional. So the cap on the # is purely for profit margin purposes.
I would bang my head against the wall, if it didn't fucking hurt so much already.
My doctor can put through a request to the insurance company to increase my allotment, and it will be reviewed. I'll be speaking to him about it, as well as asking him for prescriptions of my drug in its other formats (nasal spray AND injection). Thank you edhorch for reminding me of those other options.
The funny thing is that I have Rx serious narcotic painkillers at my disposal should I wish to utilise them....and all I want is a stupid little non-narcotic.
