"Dad, what's this?" A young boy whispers with a small curious tilt of his head, lifting his arms up to his father as if asking to be picked up. In his hand a small cloth dangles, elaborately decorated with waves of green and silver, serpents and stars. A smile quickly crosses the father's face as he draws his son into his arms, rocking him gently and looking down at the ribbon that holds his family's crest. "It's our family's, son." whispers the father, meeting the boy's bright blue eyes. "What about our family?" he asks, causing his father to tighten his hold around the boy and seat himself as he began the task of describing their worth.

Motto: I have fought and conquered.
The Lestrange family crest is adorned in black, silver and red showing the family's military strength and magnanimity, along with the grief they had once over come. The symbol of the arrow shows the family's readiness for battle, and the courage they harbour within them for such things.

The Mulciber family crest is also adorned in silver and red, along with the most alluring gold. This shows the family's elevation of mind and generosity, as well as their peaceful personality. The symbol of the eagle depicts a person of noble nature, strength, bravery and alertness. They are described as being high-spirited, ingenious, quick-witted and judicious. Because the wing of the eagle is displayed, the symbol also signifies protection.
