So I broke down and signed up for facebook and twitter. I already have a myspace page that I never use. Personally I think Live Journal is so much better than all this other shit. I can't figure out why it's so popular. So confused

When I first signed up for Facebook, to see what all the buzz was about, I didn't get it, and proudly felt the reason was that "I was old". Which, in this case, is a complimentary way to be. ;) I favor LJ over the rest, too. For someone who wants to communicate and express themselves, this medium is the way to go. To me, Twitter is capitalizing upon the text message craze, and sucking in the kids before they know what's good for them, and promoting the Orwellian idea of dumbing down the language to 140 character thoughts and sentences at one time. I suppose if you're a text message junkie, or want to be one but don't have a cell phone, Twitter is your gateway drug

LOL Nah don't worry, you couln't possibly taint my view any more than it is. Truth be told, I only signed up on those because Robert Smith did, and even though I know he will never post anything...well I'm just hoping one day he's really bored and writes something like "I bought a new shirt today". Which in and of itself would be news worthy of CNN. :D
