Internet!
Comcast, in their infinite wisdom, decided to install my cable 5 days early without telling me beforehand, which means I already have an internet connection at my apartment! I guess I win the customer service lottery this time.
I've started work, it's interesting, although tomorrow is going to be the first day I can really do work. I suppose that two days is pretty good turnaround. I'm a bit aprehensive, because at this point my assignment is basically "explore this idea, see what's feasible, and make a prototype." One of my managers told me I'm going to get to meet the art team tomorrow though, which should be interesting.
My apartment has been slowly gaining new furnishings, although the work week pretty much stalled that progress. I also have some ugly DMV/Smog/Insurance hoops that I should jump through this week. Before I do that I need to review the California driving rules, since the tests may have questions that I can't immediately answer, such as "what does a white-painted curb indicate?" (The answer is "Loading zone for passengers or mail only.") Shrug.
