Tape Loop

Heading to England tomorrow with the dad. I shall be incommunicado, save intermittent email, for about ten days. A grand time will be had by all, give or take about 4 billion people.

Break has been pretty good so far, decently productive, and somewhat relaxing. I was pretty down by the end of the semester, the biggest picker-upper so far has been an afternoon where my dad and I spent three hours chain-sawing and hauling away a tree that had fallen over the waterfall down his bluff. I also went on a really nice walk with my mom today, talked about all sorts of things. Haven't seen any of my Huntsville friends, but I've pretty much fallen totally out of touch with everyone here since I started at Mudd, so that's to be expected.

I'm all finished applying to grad schools (although I'm still waiting for one of my recommenders to finish sending in letters...) Now I play the waiting game.

Christmas was nice, I got some fun books that should help tear my brain asunder. I also got some lens filters for my camera, which I would like to make more use of. I'm telling myself that I'll try to take a lot of pictures while I'm in England. We'll see how good at lying to myself I've become.

Looking forward greatly to next semester. It's going to be pretty rough in a lot of ways, but it should be fun. I hope. I don't know. Blah, whatever. It'll go as it goes, now won't it?

Well. I think I've about covered the bases for generic things to talk about in a LiveJournal post. I will see you all in the future. (At least in the sense that I won't be back until after new years...)
