Lazy. Smart, but lazy.
Finished week 1 of classes. First homework is due Monday. On one hand, it's super easy and if I was so inclined I could probably knock out the first months worth of homework in two days. On the other hand, I am having a super hard time mustering up the will to do it. I like the subject matter, and I usually like doing the homework, but I just...can't.
I also finished week 1 of teaching, which involved taking role and going over the basic rules of the class. I would have gone through the effort of going through the syllabus and detailing the schedule, but half the students failed the math test. Half. HALF! Failed. I can understand that some people don't know math. Maybe they just never made it past Algebra. Whatever. But for fucks sake, if you are going to be a science major, you should know math.
On another note, I have an idea for an RPG session. I've been working on a concept for an ability system which I think might be interesting. Now I just need to drag together a test group to try and run it. And also build a campaign around the idea.
And speaking of RPG, if anyone wants a decent time sink, I rejoined a free Ragnarok Online server that has since gone through a rebuilding. It's called AvaniRO(http://www.avaniro.com), and the relaunch is next week.
