Lounging on the living room floor was a normal thing for me to do during free evenings. I had a steaming mug of hot chocolate and my iPhone out. Leaning against the couch, I was catching up with one of my old friends, from before debut. We had stayed in contact, and I continuously sent her CD’s and other things (she was a KPOP fan). I was confident that I could still call her my best friend. We were catching up, because the last time I had seen her was on the tour, during the leg that was in Canada and I was extremely happy to perform in my hometown. She surprised me by running backstage after the show, with a few of my other friends! I was overjoyed and Manager-Unnie actually gave me the night off to chill with them.

Okay! See you.
I closed the text box and gazed at the wallpaper. Jungmin was so cute when he was sleeping! Hugging it to my chest again, I grinned as the many cell phone charms jingled. Glancing at them, I remembered their significance. First, there was an “L” charm (from the Japanese anime, because I loved it way back when), a Keroppi bell, a squishy green tofu (like a plushie), a cute white feather (that a fan gave me, because our fandom color is white), a mini Domo-kun chain, and a miniature beanbag horse (which Bridgit-unnie actually gave me, because of.. Jungmin. Obviously.) Playing with the horse between my fingers, I thought of how it would be like if I.. We weren’t world artists. I could fangirl about SS501 in peace. Laughing to myself at that, I shook my head to get rid of those thoughts. I loved Momo, and our Lovelies. I wouldn’t give up this life. For anything.
Glancing up, as cold air washed over me, I saw Bridgit-unnie and Youngsaeng-oppa walking inside. Right when they closed the door to the balcony, EunMi jumped up and ran over to Bridgit-unnie. Looking at my phone, I had another text from Jen, so I ignored Bridgit and EunMi.

I just realized that since SS501 is staying in your dorm.. JUNGMIN IS THERE! When are you gonna make your move?! ;D
I stared at the screen. Really? Did he think I was going to do anything? No. Because he would never like me back. It was just a fangirl crush, I kept telling myself. But it didn’t matter, because every time I saw him walk around in the dorm, or chat with the others, my heart fluttered. And I would get jealous when he talked casually with Mei-unnie or Hana-unnie. It wasn’t fair. If he ever approached me, I’d freeze up, and not be able to talk. Especially after the incident on the couch earlier.. I shuddered.
“Bridgie dongsaengie! You didn’t tell me the secret earlier!!” I looked at EunMi through slitted eyes. If this was another stab at me.. oh she was going to pay. I didn’t care if it was something stupid, because whatever she was up to.. it probably was pretty stupid.
EunMi was complaining about something. I shrugged it off, because this was completely normal. “Bridgie dongsaengie! You didn’t tell me the secret earlier!!”
The secret? My ears perked up. Hmmm, I wonder what this secret is? I loved group gossip. It was fun. I sneakily glanced at Jungmin. It seemed he wasn’t as caught up in the conversation as I was. Wincing, I looked back at my phone and tried to think of a reply, when I heard my name.
“The secret about Mochi!! You said you’d tell me but you never did!” There was a secret about me? That Bridgit knew but EunMi didn’t? My brain was whirring, I couldn’t believe this. Our group told all of our secrets to each other. We were like sisters. I couldn’t recall telling Bridgie-unnie something, and not telling the others too.
Before saying anything, Bridgit-unnie looked over at me, as if to check of I knew what EunMi was talking about. I shrugged, to indicate that I was just as much out of the loop as she was. “EunMi what are you talking about? Seriously?” Bridgit-unnie sounded just as confused as I felt. Okay, at least I wasn’t the only one. This just proved EunMi was up to something. And if it was about me.. that’s not a good sign.
“You were going to tell me who she likes..” I could hear the pout in EunMi’s voice. Wait. Who I liked? No! EunMi! Don’t do it! Please don’t do it! “If its Jungmin shii, I already know that! Everyone does!!” EunMi said loudly, emphasis on ‘Jungmin’. My jaw dropped and automatically I turned to look at Jungmin. He was looking straight at me also. Oh. My. God. I am going to KILL EunMi. Shrieking in wordless anger, I dropped my phone (thank God I had a case for it) and I ran after EunMi. I couldn’t believe she had said that! Right in front of Jungmin as well! I wanted to dig a hole and stay there.
--
When I finally caught EunMi and killed her (which, in my world, meant tickling her to death), I headed back and saw that Bridgit and Kyujong were both gone. I thought they might be off somewhere, so I grabbed my hot chocolate and went on a search. Checking all of our rooms, I couldn’t find them, so I went to check the boys’ rooms. After going through the first 2, and not finding anything, I stopped in front of Jungmin’s door. I knew he wasn’t inside (I had seen him lounging on the couch playing on his phone), but I felt bad for sneaking in the last time, so I wouldn’t.
I made my way to the kitchen and saw Hyunjoong there.
“Oppa!” I smiled and put my mug into the sink. I plopped down beside him and grinned.
“Jessica-dongsaeng. Or sunbae?” He grinned apologetically. “It’s weird calling you sunbae…Just dongsaeng okay?”
I nodded. “Sunbae sounds weird. Since you’re my oppa. I guess I’d be a lot of people’s ‘sunbae’ right?” I pouted. “It’s weird because I’m younger than so many artists that have debuted, but then we’ve been in the music industry for so much longer.. I’d rather be a dongsaeng!” I stopped when I realized I had been rambling.
“Mianhe oppa. I tend to ramble a lot..” I sheepishly shrugged, and bowed my head.
He chuckled and ruffled my hair. “It’s okay Mochi. I don’t mind. You’re so cute.”
I blushed at the last comment. Many people had called me cute but this was the leader of my favorite band. I couldn’t NOT blush. And he was ruffling my hair!
“Mochi-yah. I heard that you like Jungmin?” I jumped up and clamped my hand over his mouth.
“SHHHHHHHHHHH!” I glanced around and sighed. The coast was clear. Pouting, I turned and looked at him. “Why does every have to say that? Out loud?”
I felt something wet on my hand. Jumping away I screamed. “EWWWWWWW!” Did he just lick my hand? “OPPAAAAAAAA!”
Hyunjoong just sat there and laughed. And laughed. And laughed. While I was freaking out, my inner fangirl swore to never wash my hand ever again. Instead, I wiped my hand on my shorts and continued freaking out.
“What’s going on hyung?”
I turned indignantly and spazzed. “HE LICKED MY HAND. THERE IS SALIVA ALL OVER MY HAND!”
I ran up to the person and waved my hand in their face. “So gross!” I pouted. Then I looked at who it was and froze.
It was Jungmin.
Quickly turning around, I tried to say something. Anything. But it seemed my mouth had frozen shut, as well as my legs. What was going on? How come I couldn’t move? It was Jungmin. It’s all his fault.
Hyunjoong coughed, and I turned my head to look at him. By turning my head, I really the proximity in which I was standing to Jungmin. OMG. He’s so close!
“Jungmin-ah.. would you go to my room and get my phone?”
Jungmin huffed. “Why don’t you get it yourself? It’s your phone. Not mine. Mine’s right here.” He raised his right arm and waved the iPhone that was in his hand at Leader.
Hyunjoong sighed. “Just get it, will you? I’ll buy you that carrot juice that you wanted if you do.”
Jungmin sighed heavily, as if he just agreed to some heavy burden. “Fine fine. I’ll remember this!” And he stalked off to get the phone.
Right when he left the room, I was able to move. I sighed and flopped onto the kitchen floor. “Why is my life like this?” I moaned into my hands. Every time Jungmin had been near me, I would somehow make a fool of myself.
I could hear chuckling again. It was a familiar laugh now. “Oppa! Why do you keep laughing at me?” I pouted in his direction, but I was so overcome with my stupidness that I didn’t really care.
Hyunjoong stopped laughing, and smiled softly in my direction. “You really do like him, don’t you Jess?”
I nodded sadly. “Is it that obvious?” Shaking my head, I laughed bitterly. “It must be. Since everyone knows about it, apparently. Well they all should now. Stupid EunMi.”
He stood up and walked over to my side. Crouching, he patted my head again. “It’s okay. It’s cute. Puppy love. Don’t worry about it, Mochi-yah. He’ll come around.” Winking at me, he stood up, stretched and headed back out to the living room.
--
The doorbell rang. I looked over at the others, and shrugged. No one got up to get it, so we all continued to ignore it, since it seemed to be either a fan or a reporter. We weren’t expecting anyone, and Brigit and Kyujong knew the code to the dorm.
Whoever was outside was very persistent. They continuously rang the doorbell, over and over and over. It seemed to be ringing non-stop. Mei-unnie glanced at me and nodded towards the door; saying that I should go check it out.
Sighing, I walked over to the door. Glancing through the peep-hole, I saw some EXTREMELY SHORT girl just standing there, stabbing at the doorbell with a haughty expression on her face. I immediately considered not opening the door, because I could tell I wasn’t going to like her. Glancing back at Mei-unnie, I mouthed “Should I open it?” She nodded back, so I sighed again. bracing myself, I opened the mini-window at the top.
“Can I help you?” The girl was still so intent on assaulting the doorbell that she didn’t hear me.
“EXCUSE ME. Can I help you?” She looked up and grinned at me.
“Is this the residence of Momo and SS501?” She smiled with glossy lips, and then she flipped her hair. I inwardly grimaced at her high-pitched voice. Who talked like that? Really?
“Uhh.. ye?”
“Well, I personally know the SS501 boys, so you should, you know, let me in so I can talk to them?” I was really starting to hate the way her voice raised at the end of every sentence. Uggh.
“Do you?” I sighed. “Okay fine.”
I closed the window flap, and opened the door. She bounced in and looked me up and down. Who was this girl? And why was she checking me out?
“Okay. Those green shorts are so gaudy, they make me cringe. Go change?” Nodding happily at that decision, she walked into the dorm without a second glance.
Gaudy? These were my favorite!
Coming back for second to give me another once over. “And also, Mochi is such a gay name, along with the fact that you can’t rap.” And with that, she walked inside. I glared at her back and felt angry tears welling up in my eyes. I knew I would hate her. I knew it.
Following her into the living room, I wasn't surprised to see that the SS501 members weren't very happy to see her either. She was VERY short, even with her 5inch heels.
"Yah. Take off your shoes. Please." Mei-unnie put on her politest voice. "No one's wearing shoes here, so you won't be any different."
The girl pouted (K, usually when someone pouts, it's cute right? Not in this case. Well to me.) and huffed over to the door to take off her WAY-TOO-HIGH-heels. Like seriously, I felt short just looking at the heels; when in reality I towered over her.
I plopped down on the couch and pouted. (The correct way, that looks cute.) Furiously wiping my eyes - I was so glad that I didn't put on any makeup - I ran over what she said in my mind. Not being able to take it much longer, I took advantage of the girl's absence and blurted out my thoughts.
"Am I a bad rapper?" My voice came out more choked than I thought it would. It sounded like I was about to burst into tears... which I might or might not've been.
"Mochi.. why are you asking us this? You're the best rapper, that's why you're the main! Who said you weren't a good rapper?" Hana-unnie came and clasped my knee. She reached up and wiped under my eyes with her thumb. I smiled weakly at her, and nodded towards the door.
"Lori? She told you that you were a bad rapper?" Jungmin's voice broke through my thoughts.
I nodded sadly and buried my face into my knees. I felt a warm hand on my head, and I glanced up to see Jungmin kneeling in fromt of me also. "Don't listen to her. She's like that. If someone's better than her, she tries to take them down." He nodded and poked my cheek. "Smile."
I was too upset to be my usual self aroud Jungmin so I nodded shyly and forced a small smile onto my lips. He nodded, satisfied and sauntered back to his room.
I realized I had learned her name. Lori. I shuddered. I kmew I wasn't going to like her from the beginning. I looked back at the doorway and she was no longer there. And then I heard an indignant shriek... It sounded like EunMi!
I jumpe up and quickly gave Hana-unnie a hug. Then I bolted over to our shared room, and what I saw stopped me in my tracks completely. Our room. Was. Completely trashed.
I ran up to EunMi and gaped wordlessly at the mess. What on earth had happened? Then I saw a sparkly clad butt sticking out of the closet. Lori.
"YAH! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" EunMi's shriek of anger shocked me out of my stupor. "THIS IS OUR ROOM. GET OUT. NOW."
Lori stuck her head out of the closet and smiled simperingly. "Oh? This is your room?" Stalking over to us (without her heels.. she was REALLY short), she accidently trod on my stuffed Mal. I cried out and ran over to pick it up. Hugging it to my chest, I ran out of the room before the argument blew over.
It lasted for about 20 minutes. All you could hear was EunMi yelling like crazy, and Lori's annoyingly smooth voice replying. They finally left the room and we were just about to start another fight when the door opened, revealing Kyujong and Bridgit.
Bridgit looked so happy. Actually, both of them looked so happy, and I forgot about my anger for a moment. Standing there, framed by the doorway with rosy cheeks, holding hands.. they looked like the perfect fairytale couple.
"KYU!!!!!!!!!!!" Rolling my eyes, I glared at Lori for ruining the perfect moment. It was clear she was up to no good. I was back to fuming. EunMi was sitting beside me and both our eyes widened as this so-called "friend-of-SS501" ran up to Kyujog-oppa, completely ignored Bridgit-unnie - she ever pushed her aside - and hugged Kyujong. She even had the nerve to kiss him on the cheek! I swear, my eyes were bugging out of my head in anger.
I was seeing red at how heartbroken Bridgit-unnie looked and I had no self-restraint at jumping up and trying to strangle the girl. Hana-unnie and Mei-unnie ran and blocked me and EunMi from trying to kill the girl. What she said next, shocked us from continuing.
"Kyu sweetie! Its been so long! Why didn't you contact me after we broke up?!"
Wait. What?
