First, thanks to the two of you who left reassuring comments on my previous entry. It's nice to know that someone other than Dave thinks I made the right decision :)
I'm almost finished packing for the road trip. My duffel bag is filled to the brim and I'm still contemplating taking the straightening iron with me...Aside from that, I think I finally narrowed my entertainment for the driving portion of the trip. I'm going to finally figure out how to knit (with a scarf that had to be unraveled due to my attempt to fix it), so I figure the scarf, albeit small, will take around two full days - broken down into smaller portions, I'm thinking about a week or two. In addition to that, I'm bringing five books with me:
- The Car - Gary Paulsen (almost finished, so I'm not even sure it should count)
- Acts of Rebellion: the Ward Churchill Reader - Ward Churchill (a political activist that has caused some controversy by claiming to have more Native blood than he really does, but he offers some interesting view points on various American Indian-related topics)
- Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte (technically I was supposed to have read this back in the fall semester, but that didn't exactly happen :P Giving it another shot; from what I've read so far, it's great)
- With All Our Strength: The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan - Anne E. Brodsky (yet another book I was supposed to have read a long time ago, but never got around to finishing it. Going to have to start over again!)
- Frankenstein - Mary Shelley (I've been wanting to read this for awhile)
Hopefully I don't get bored! I'm contemplating bringing The Perks of Being a Wallflower as a just in case book. We'll see if my tote bag rejects it or not ;) Oh yeah, and my crossword puzzles.
Here's a video I made the other day. Ginny was fussing with her blanket before she fell asleep. I thought it was cute :)
