CNBlue's Jung Yonghwa & Girls' Generation's Seohyun
g
There are mornings when Seohyun wakes up to the sound of his voice.
In her mind, she knows better. It’s not really him. But it’s in these mornings that her heart forgets.
There are nights when she falls asleep to the sound of his voice. All it takes is for her to close her eyes and press play, and at once, his voice floats through the wires and into her ears, singing to her the song he wrote for her.
It’s in nights like these that she likes to fall asleep thinking that wherever he was, he was thinking of her at that very moment as well.
Her brain tells her she should know better than to dwell on past memories and fleeting feelings. It’s been so long since they said their goodbyes; They were no longer a couple, it was a fact both of them and everyone else knew.
Plus, it was illogical for her to miss him, when it was their mutual decision to part ways in the first place. And she’d pushed for it.
It’s usually in these moments that for once, she sides with her heart and tells her brain to shut up and screw logic.
And she’d proceed to tell blame her heart, because it warned her that this was enough. This is the closest you should ever get to him, and get out now, before you fall too deep to get out, it told her.
There are days when she’d tell herself that this was just another maneuver he was trying, to push himself away from her to make her miss him. Truth be told, it was working.
But this time, they’d both pushed away from each other. She couldn’t confront him when they next saw each other during filming. There was no next time.
No, neither of them could find the courage to pull the other back.
There are mornings when Seohyun would wake up to the sound of his voice, and the memories would flood her mind once more. Her heart would leap, only for her brain to remind her that time had passed since. The longing would then grow on her, to revert back to being the other half of the Goguma couple.
She’ll get up and take out a box from the back of the top shelf of her closet for mornings like these, containing a smaller box and a note, in the handwriting she knew so well.
To: Hyu~un
Let’s go out into the world and accomplish our goals and dreams. We’ll still run into each other, but no longer as the YongSeo couple. I can live with that.
I promise you that when the time comes, we’ll meet again as the adults 정용화 & 서주현 whose hearts and minds have grown and filled with wisdom and experienced the world.
Hyun will work hard, won’t she? You always do. And perhaps the day we meet once again, the Hyun that could only say 감사합니다 will be able to say 사랑해.
용♡서 , 화이팅!
From: Yo~ong
In the velvet box with the note was a ring, serving as a reminder for Seohyun.
Not hers, but his.
To hold onto until the time came for the universe to pull them back together.
A/N: Preferably on an altar, with Seohyun in a pretty white dress and a wedding song which they composed. Just sayin’.
