The trip to Kohler was fun. The presidential suite ended up being really nice. We went on a tour of the Kohler factory. It was a three hour walking tour. We found it really interesting and informative. We then rushed home because I started classes that day. I'm taking English 301 Intro to the Discipline and English 380 Children's Lit Classics. Classes at UIS are so far only slightly more challenging. I guess I won't really know until I actually have to turn in a graded assignment. I have a first draft of a paper due tomorrow and a poetry explication due in a week. I'm going to explicate "The City" by C.P. Cavafy. This is the first poem I've ever read by him and I'm really intrigued by it and his life and how it relates to the poem. I was spinning my wheels for a while trying to choose my poem but today it chose me. I started reading Bridge to Terabithia today. It's only 150 pages so I hope to finish it in a couple of day so I can get ahead. I read Seed Folks last week and really enjoyed it and how it deals with the benefits of community gardening for all walks of life. I also read for the first time A Wrinkle in Time which was really interesting and more deep than I thought it would be initially. I just remember trying to read it as a child and thinking WTF??? I was supposed to read The Secret Garden also but that hasn't happened yet. I recall not enjoying that book. I'm hoping to get it on audio or hehehe watch the movie....sneaky sneaky....After I finish Terabithia I will watch that one as well. I also want to read The School Services Sourcebook but I'm having a hard time locating it at any of the libraries and don't know if I want to purchase it do to it's large and expensive nature. I'm considering getting a masters in counseling after I get my bachelors instead of teaching certification but I'm still not sure yet.
PS> my grammar has gotten pretty bad....yikes...
